 #Mickey’s being very clever here by using the Doctor’s affection for Rose against him #It allows him to get what he wants - a moment alone to see his Gran #But it’s also a very sad moment because it confirms in a very tangible way what had already been unspoken: #He simply doesn’t matter as much to the Doctor as Rose does #Just like he doesn’t matter as much to Rose as the Doctor does #And this is another brick in the path that leads him away from BOTH of them #That leads him to stay in Pete’s world to be with his Gran and help fight the Cybermen #And that leads him into becoming the kind of brave independent man who is eventually worthy of being with Martha
